Mission Statement
BNS is committed to being the institution of choice in the financial sector, providing superior products and services and being a good citizen to benefit of their customers, shareholders and staff.
The partnership with BNS was born out of KRC's interventions under the Jamaica Urban Poverty Project (1997 - 2002) when the British Consultant Richard Slater recommended that a KRC created a micro enterprise strategy for the residents of depressed communities. Under this partnership with BNS, the Micro Enterprise Financing Limited was formed. Micro Enterprise Financing Limited (MEFL) is a non-profit corporation limited guarantee, dedicated to assisting in the development of micro enterprises in designated urban communities of Jamaica. MEFL was incorporated on May 7, 2002 and is located at 12 Duke Street, Kingston
